Als Senior Performance Test Engineer binnen b.ignited help je onze klanten om hun applicaties schaalbaar, stabiel en toekomstbestendig te maken. Je wordt ingezet op uitdagende projecten bij uiteenlopende klanten en sectoren, waar je zowel hands-on testing uitvoert als strategisch adviseert rond performance en non-functional testing. 

Je bent niet alleen een expert in tooling, maar ook een vertrouwde gesprekspartner voor ontwikkelteams, architecten en IT-management. 

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden 

• Opzetten en uitvoeren van performance-, load-, stress- en endurance tests bij klanten 

• Analyseren en interpreteren van testresultaten in complexe klantomgevingen 

• Detecteren van performance bottlenecks in applicaties, infrastructuur en cloudplatformen 

• Adviseren van klanten over performance testing strategieën, architecturale keuzes en best practices 

• Integreren van performance testing in CI/CD pipelines bij klanten 

• Rapporteren van bevindingen op een duidelijke en onderbouwde manier, afgestemd op het doelpubliek 

• Begeleiden en coachen van klantteams en minder ervaren consultants 

• Meewerken aan de verdere uitbouw van onze performance testing expertise en dienstverlening 

Jouw profiel 

• Minstens 5 jaar ervaring in performance en/of non-functional testing 

• Sterke hands-on ervaring met tools zoals JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6 of gelijkaardig 

• Ervaring in klantomgevingen of consultancy is een duidelijke plus 

• Goede kennis van CI/CD (bv. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) 

• Ervaring met cloud- en distributed systemen (AWS, Azure, GCP, microservices) 

• Kennis van monitoring & observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, …) 

• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden: je kan technische inzichten helder uitleggen aan klanten 

• Zelfstandig, flexibel en comfortabel in een wisselende projectcontext 

• Vloeiend in Nederlands en professioneel Engels 

Nice to have 

• Ervaring met DevOps, SRE of platform engineering 

• Scripting of programmeerkennis (Java, Python, JavaScript, …) 

• ISTQB Performance Testing, ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst of gelijkaardige certificaties 

• Ervaring met pre-sales, workshops of technische assessments

About the role (ENG)

As a Senior Performance Test Engineer at b.ignited, you will help our customers make their applications scalable, stable, and future-proof. You will be assigned to challenging projects with a wide range of customers and sectors, where you will perform hands-on testing and provide strategic advice on performance and non-functional testing.

You are not only an expert in tooling but also a trusted discussion partner for development teams, architects, and IT management.

Your responsibilities

• Setting up and executing performance, load, stress, and endurance tests at clients

• Analyzing and interpreting test results in complex client environments

• Detecting performance bottlenecks in applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms

• Advising clients on performance testing strategies, architectural choices, and best practices

• Integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines at clients

• Reporting findings in a clear and substantiated manner, tailored to the target audience

• Guiding and coaching customer teams and less experienced consultants

• Contributing to the further development of our performance testing expertise and services

Your profile

• At least 5 years of experience in performance and/or non-functional testing

• Strong hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, k6, or similar

• Experience in customer environments or consultancy is a definite plus

• Good knowledge of CI/CD (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

• Experience with cloud and distributed systems (AWS, Azure, GCP, microservices)

• Knowledge of monitoring & observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.)

• Strong communication skills: you can clearly explain technical insights to customers

• Independent, flexible, and comfortable in a changing project context

• Fluent in Dutch and professional English

Nice to have

• Experience with DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering

• Scripting or programming knowledge (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)

• ISTQB Performance Testing, ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst, or similar certifications

• Experience with pre-sales, workshops, or technical assessments
